By working with all levels of government, residents, and stakeholders, he helped secure over $200 million in federal investments for our community—including a historic $59 million to build more homes, faster through the Housing Accelerator Fund. Reduced the small business tax rate from 11% to 9%, giving small businesses more financial flexibility and helping them reinvest in growth and job creation.
Lower Credit Card Fees from major providers (Visa and Mastercard), saving small businesses an estimated $1 billion over five years.
Boosted funding and services to help small businesses expand into global markets, including export guarantee programs and advisory support.
Empowering Diverse Entrepreneurs: Launched the Black Entrepreneurship Program (BEP) with $265 million and the Women Entrepreneurship Strategy (WES) with $6 billion to support Black and women entrepreneurs through funding, mentorship, and business development resources.
